At the Optical Preservation Society, our mission is to catalog and preserve rare legacy cinema glass and mechanical components in order to honor and continue the heritage of the optics we all cherish.

Our detailed and precise metrology processes deliver exact replacement specifications to maintain the heart, soul, and character of vintage lenses of all kinds.

We use a combination of legacy and ultra precise modern tooling and materials to deliver you replacement components that would be otherwise unavailable or impossible to replace.

For example, the currently available k35 rear elements are replicated to exact specification, and maintain the same performance and attributes of the original optical system - including both glass type and coating.

Our replacement Lomo square front elements are precision crafted to match the original specification, and must be calibrated with the lens system together for optimal performance, just like original reference lenses.

These have been used successfully and to great result with the Lomocron rehousing project and can be used as direct replacement for the source glass.
